Deep Listening

Deep Listening is an ephemeral event that takes place in both natural environments and non-traditional venues, such as West End Yoga or Highgate Hill Park. As a collaboration between Fin Wegener and Julia Beiers, Deep Listening performances will often involve a collection of musicians/improvisers responding to places, environments or field recordings of natural soundscapes.

Inspired by Pauline Oliveros’s concept of the same name, the event aims to connect audiences with the subtleties of sound by creating space for meditative listening practices that are warm, welcoming and therapeutic.
